Introduction

Welcome to the website of Chris Hambleton. Most of my work to date has been in writing software, but lately have been venturing into the wonderful world of writing books (mostly in my spare time). I've found that writing provides a nice mental break from the computer world at times, even though I use writing software for most of my books.

My expertise lies in analyzing business software needs, and then developing software solutions that exceed client expectations.

Platforms and Technologies: Visual Studio 2008, WPF/LINQ, IIS, Windows: XP / 2000 / NT / Server 2003/2000, MS Office, DotNetNuke Framework (DNN 4), Photoshop

Other Technical Skills: Well-versed in all phases of the software development life-cycle (requirements, design, development, testing, release, support, maintenance). Utilizes multiple development methodologies, including OOD, Extreme Programming, Structured Programming.

Software and Writing
I've been writing software since 1999, and have been working primarily with the Microsoft .NET Framework since 2002. Most of my professional work since 2004 has been with ASP.NET, along with several client-server applications. Recently, I've been getting familiar with the new WPF framework, along with Linq.

In 2006, I decided to begin writing fiction in my free-time. At the time, I had several ideas that no one had adequately covered, so I figured I'd start my own writing on the topics and see where it would lead. Two years later, I've had several books published, and am planning many more. I'm not sure where my writing "sub-career" will lead, but until I know, I figure I'll keep writing and see where it goes.
